A Georgia science teacher already charged with having sex with a student in a classroom closet has now been accused of abusing five other teens, including a girl — allegedly having sex in a Hummer as well as at a golf course parking lot.
Maris Nichols, 25, was re-arrested Thursday, nearly two weeks after she was first charged with sexually assaulting a student at least twice, in the school closet as well as a parked Hummer, 11Alive reported.
She was hit with 11 new charges, including child molestation, evidence tampering and grooming involving five new accusers — at least one of whom she allegedly also had sex with in a public spot.
The now-suspended teacher at Alexander High School in Douglasville, where she was also a football operations manager, allegedly romped with the boy in his car at a golf course — just a day after she’s accused of having sex with the first accuser in his Hummer.
She is also accused of sexting other teens about the sex acts she fantasized over — even using a sex toy during video calls with at least two teens under 16, according to an arrest warrant obtained by WAGA.
Nichols allegedly also sent nudes to a girl and encouraged her to watch the “Fifty Shades of Grey” franchise before asking to discuss the raunchy flicks.
Just three days before her first arrest, she ordered one of the teens she sexted to delete their communications, the warrant said.
The complaint did not say how old the alleged victims were, beyond the fact the are all teenagers.
At least four were students at Alexander High School, where Nichols had been hired in May 2023.
“Upon learning of the alleged misconduct, the district immediately launched an investigation. Student safety is the district’s highest priority,” the Douglas County School System said in a letter to parents.
“The alleged behavior is unacceptable and violates the professional standards all employees are required to uphold.”
Nichols graduated from Liberty University, a private evangelical Christian school linked with the Southern Baptist Convention of Virginia known for its strict fraternization policy, under which students are expected “to abstain from sexual activity outside of a biblically ordained marriage,” according to its website.
