GB News breaking alert as Donald Trump humiliates Starmer in ‘painful’ moment | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

GB News halted its regular broadcast so that viewers could tune into Donald Trump’s speech this evening, but they were left saying the same thing about UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. During the speech, Trump gave a shoutout to the UK and invited Starmer to join him on stage. “Where is the United Kingdom?! Where is our friend?” Trump asked while looking for Starmer.

The Prime Minister coyly waved his hand before being invited up to the podium, before Trump asked him: “Is everything going well?” Starmer replied: “Yes, very good.” GB News viewers who were watching the historic speech couldn’t resist taking to social media to comment on the “ridiculous” moment with Starmer.

Flocking to Twitter, one person penned: “Painful to watch with Starmer.” Another added: “Starmer’s face is waiting for Trump to mention his name.”

A third wrote: “I’m actually getting second-hand embarrassment watching Starmer there looking absolutely ridiculous & irrelevant.” A fourth quipped: “Starmer getting mugged off completely…”

Someone else wrote: “This is painful at times. But Starmer getting mugged off on the world stage was gold.” Another said: “He gets things done, like him or not.”

Elsewhere in the speech, Trump praised the signing of a peace deal ending two years of fighting between Hamas and Israel in Gaza. He admitted “nobody thought it could happen” during the historic moment.

The agreement was signed after all remaining living hostages held by Hamas were sent back to Israel.

The captives were released to the Red Cross, then handed over to the Israeli military, which will take them to hospitals across the nation.

Starmer said during the event: “Today is a really historic day, so we do need to start there, and real credit to President Trump and the other leaders who got us to this place. But you’re absolutely right. The challenge now is tomorrow and implementation. And therefore yesterday is historic, but what happens tomorrow really matters.”

The Prime Minister added: “And that’s why what I’ve been discussing with leaders all day is what part can we play, and we, the United Kingdom in particular, can play a part in monitoring the ceasefire, but also decommissioning the capability of Hamas and their weaponry, drawing on our experience in Northern Ireland.”
