Gardeners urged to add ingredient to lawn now to ‘repair thin and bare patches’

0

We could once have expected lawn care to be over for a few months.

However, with Winter Grass Seed, which is specially designed to germinate in lower temperatures, we can now repair any thin and bare patches in the lawn.

This means we can tidy up our lawn during the colder months.

We sow the grass seed directly into the thin and bare patches and with wet soil the seed will easily stick to the ground.

Then quilt the seed with a layer of top soil or compost as this will assist in the germination process.

The seed will be snuggled between the soil of the ground and the top soil quilt.

The grass seed can then be left to germinate and although it can take longer than spring and summertime it is very helpful to be able to repair lawns during the winter season.

We do not need to water the seed as rain and moist soil will do that for us.
