Samsung recently announced a new laptop, the Galaxy Book 5 Pro, which is powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra hardware and offers a premium experience to rival the MacBook Pro, but a little cheaper.
This new laptop is currently on pre-order and there’s a fantastic deal on it, meaning you can double the storage free. You’ll get 1TB of SSD storage rather than 512GB, which is a great offer and would normally cost you hundreds of pounds, which you can buy here.
But to get this £200 saving, you’ll need to move fast, as the pre-order offer finishes today.
The Galaxy Book 5 Pro is the latest hardware from Samsung, announced in January and offering the best that Windows has to offer. It’s powered by the new Intel Core Ultra hardware, with 16GB RAM, meaning it’s really powerful, and carries that Copilot+ PC badge. That means it’s loaded with the latest AI tech from Microsoft, helping you be more productive.
Intel’s new hardware is more efficient than ever, not only really powerful, but having the advantage of being compatible with all previous PC software, which isn’t always the case for Qualcomm-powered laptops. It’s also really energy efficient, with Samsung saying that you’ll get 21 hours of use from the Galaxy Book 5 Pro.
But best of all, there’s an AMOLED display. Samsung’s displays are legendary and here you’ll get stunning visuals, so whether you’re working on editing your photos or watching the latest movie, things will look great. There’s a choice of 14- or 16-inch sizes.
There’s loads of connectivity on this laptop too, with Thunderbolt 4 meaning speedy access to external storage and other devices, while HDMI, USB-A and a microSD card slot are all in place too.
The double storage offer is attractive on the Galaxy Book 5 Pro, making it worth snapping up, but it’s still expensive. The cost of the model will be a downside for some shoppers and ‘extensive bloatware’ is something to keep in mind – a feature which experts at Tom’s Guide have raised as a potential flaw too.
If you want to spend a little less, then the Surface Laptop, powered by the Snapdragon X Plus is available from Amazon for £1,139 (saving £110) with 512GB storage instead.
