American tennis standout Frances Tiafoe won what is arguably the biggest tennis tournament victory of his career to this point on June 21, when he defeated Taylor Fritz in the final of the 2026 Terra Wortmann Open (aka the Halle Open).
Tiafoe looked excellent all tournament, and the fact that he defeated Fritz in straight sets suggests that he’s in great form heading into Wimbledon later this month.
Tiafoe is rarely alone at these tournaments, as his girlfriend, influencer Ayan Broomfield (who is a Canadian former professional player herself) comes to almost all of his tournaments whenever her career allows her to.
Tiafoe and Broomfield have been together since 2018, which suggests they’re in it for the long haul together.
Broomfield has been with Tiafoe at the Halle Open and made a hilarious Instagram post on June 20 that conveyed the realities of dating a tennis star while on the road.
The video showed Broomfield watching Tiafoe competing. She was wearing a white shirt, and the in-video caption reads, “Unfortunately, I forgot to turn off the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign before leaving the hotel room, so housekeeping isn’t coming. As a result, he will soon realize that there are no clean towels, the bed hasn’t been made, the trash is full, and the glam station is in complete disarray.”
This “disarray” didn’t keep Tiafoe from winning the Halle Open. And Broomfield celebrated this with a TikTok video on June 21, where she can be seen wearing a black dress. The post’s in-text caption reads, “everybody wanted to know what I’d do if he didn’t win.”
Then the video cuts to Tiafoe raising the Halle Open trophy in the air and mouthing, “I guess we’ll never know!”
Tiafoe and Broomfield now have a lot of celebrating to do.
