Dave Portnoy and Barstool Sports’ partnership with Fox Sports is coming with a shakeup.

Barstool will no longer appear on the network’s “Big Noon Kickoff” ahead of college football games on Saturday, with Portnoy confirming a report by The Athletic.

Portnoy, along with other Barstool personalities, has been a part of Fox Sports’ college football coverage for just over a year.

According to The Athletic, the primary factors of the decision came down to challenges stemming from trying to tie together the more traditional programming from Fox with Barstool’s edgy persona, given the network’s partnership with the Big Ten.

Portnoy, an alum and booster for Michigan, has faced flak over being at Ohio State home games.

Reports last season even indicated that Portnoy was banned from entering Ohio Stadium, though the university officially denied that he was.

In a post on X Friday evening, Portnoy was more direct, calling out Ohio State head coach Ryan Day in an explicative-laden message.

“Ohio State and Ryan Day bitched and moaned to the Big 10 and threatened Fox till they had no choice,” Portnoy wrote. “Juice wasn’t worth the squeeze [and] frankly I don’t blame them. Huge dollars at stake and you have Cryin Ryan throwing temper tantrums [and] making threats every few days on something I said. I always knew Ryan Day was soft but holy s–t even I didn’t realize he was this soft.

“The Barstool College Football will continue on. Maybe we’ll even see you in Columbus where contrary to popular belief most fans love the rivalry and aren’t p—–s like Cryin Ryan.”

The Athletic reported that Barstool’s partnership with Fox Sports is not over, with its FS1 show, “Wake Up Barstool,” still being aired daily on weekdays.
