Four people have been charged after a man who swallowed bags of cocaine died in Dubai. Jensen Westhead, 20, flew to the city from Manchester Airport.
He died in the Hotel Avalon on December 4 last year and is reported to have ingested multiple packs of cocaine at a hotel in Manchester two days earlier.
The four people have been charged with conspiracy to fraudulently evade the prohibition on exportation of a class A drug from November 21, 2024, to December 4, 2024.
They are: Rebecca Hatch, 43, of Hatfield Close, Thornton Cleveleys; Glenn Hatch, 50, of the same address; Alexander Tofton, 32, of Tewkesbury Drive, Lytham St Annes and Steven Stephenson, 36, of St Lawrence Road, Denton.
Mr Stephenson has been charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine as well.
The four accused are due to appear at Lancaster Magistrates’ Court on October 31.
