Fortnite fans are about to be treated to another new crossover event, which begins with an imminent Item Shop update.
To coincide with the release of the final season of Squid Game, Fortnite developer Epic Games will release new Squid Game skins, items and a Reload map in the coming days.
The Fortnite Squid Game bundles will be available with the Item Shop reset at 1am BST UK time on June 27. That’s 8pm ET on June 26 for fans living in the US.
According to insiders such as Shiina, the Squid Game crossover features Guard and Manager skins, as well as Squid Game Player skins.
Guard and Manager skins are priced at 1,500 V-Bucks each, while Squid Game Players cost 1,200 each.
There’s also an accessory pack that will reportedly be available for 700 V-Bucks.
It contains the Delicious Dalgona Backbling, the Ddakji Box Backbling, the Squid Shape Wrap and the Lil’ Prized Piggy Bank emote.
The full bundle will be available at the discounted price of 3,000 V-Bucks.
In addition to Squid Game skins and items, Epic Games is also releasing a brand new Squid Game map for Reload, which was leaked following the recent Fortnite update.
The Squid Game Reload map makes its debut at 12pm BST UK time on June 27. It launches alongside the Rank Reset.
The Squid Grounds map is said to feature familiar playground locations from the games, including staged town sets and a hollowed-out labyrinth. According to Epic Games, fans can even play Red Light Green Light.
The Squid Grounds map will be the sole Reload map during the launch weekend and will replace Oasis in the long-term.
It also adds a few new and debuting weapons for Reload, including the Red-Eye Submachine Gun, the Uncommon Boogie Bomb and the Itemised Glider Redeploy.
