Less than a week after the launch of the new Star Wars-themed season, Fortnite developer Epic Games is back with the first big content update of Galactic Battle.
Titled Pull of the Force, the new Fortnite content update has a May 8 release date on PS5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Android and Nintendo Switch.
As part of the event, Luke, Leia and Han Solo will arrive on the island, alongside new Force Powers and other gameplay features.
Unforunately, however, the Dark Side of the Force will also make an appearance in the form of a hologram of Darth Maul.
Darth Maul will give players the chance to unlock Red Lightsabers and learn Force Throw, while Mace Windu will provide purple Lightsabers and Force Pull.
Force Pull gives users the ability to pull in items and opponents from nearby, while Force Push lets you pick up items and throw them at enemies.
Epic Games explains more: “Sensing a disturbance in the Force, Leia and Luke will arrive on the Island May 8 alongside renowned smuggler Han Solo to offer you strategic services.
“Speaking of the Force, hologram Mace Windu will appear on May 8 — train with him to earn a Purple Lightsaber and learn Force Pull, which pulls in just about anything and anyone nearby.
“Rumour has it the Sith Lord Darth Maul will be around as a hologram as well, offering Red Lightsabers and teaching Force Throw. Pick up objects around you and throw them as projectiles!”
In addition to appearing in the island, Mace Windu will also be available to purchase from the Item Shop.
The Mace Windu skin will be available for 1,500 V-Bucks, his Pickaxe bundle costs 800 V-Bucks and the Emote/Back Bling is available for 300 V-Bucks.
The entire Mace Windu bundle is available for the reduced price of 2,000 V-Bucks.
The Mace Windu bundle has a May 9 release date for fans living in the US, and a May 10 release date and 1am BST launch time for fans in the UK.
