Fortnite developer Epic Games has taken the game offline for the release of update 36.10.

The new update will be available to download on PS5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2 and Android. The patch must be downloaded and installed in order to continue playing online once the servers are back.

The downtime was announced by Epic Games on X, alongside a preview about what to expect.

“Short break now. Fast play later,” reads an Epic Games tweet on X.

“Downtime for v36.10 begins at 4 AM ET with matchmaking ending shortly beforehand.”
