Developed by Alan Wake studio Remedy, Control made its debut for PS4, Xbox One and PC back in 2019.
On the surface it’s your standard third-person shooter, albeit with a sci-fi twist. It takes place in a building known as The Oldest House, which is the headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Control.
The mysterious building is home to various paranormal items and events, not to mention upgrades that imbue players with powers like the ability to fly, fire projectiles and more.
After winning various game of the year awards in 2019, Control would be ported to PS5 and Xbox Series X in 2021.
Remedy would also release a couple of paid expansions for the game, which are available as part of the Ultimate Edition.
This includes the AWE story expansion, which actually ties into the Alan Wake series.
