Nintendo and The Pokemon Company have announced plans to hold a Pokemon Presents conference. Similar to a Nintendo Direct, Pokemon Presents conferences feature announcements and gameplay trailers for new and existing Pokemon games. This includes Nintendo Switch games like Pokemon Legends Z-A, as well as popular apps such as Pokemon Go.

According to The Pokemon Company, the next Pokemon Presents conference will take place at 2pm BST UK time on the afternoon of July 22.

The news was announced by The Pokemon Company on X: “Catch the latest Pokemon news in our next Pokemon Presents on July 22nd at 6am PST! See you there, Trainers!”

While it’s still quite a few weeks away, The Pokemon Company has also shared details of its streaming policy for the upcoming presentation.

According to a follow-up tweet, co-streamers of any language are welcome to broadcast the event, although the company reserves the right to remove inappropriate content.

In terms of what fans can expect, the Pokemon Presents is likely to feature new gameplay footage for the Pokemon Legends sequel, as well as new features for apps like Pokemon Go and Pokemon TCG Pocket.

The news comes on the same day Nintendo announced the release date for action role-playing game Pokemon Legends Z-A.

The upcoming Nintendo exclusive has been given an October 16 release date for the original Switch and Switch 2.

The Switch 2 version of Pokemon Legends Z-A will feature improved graphics and frame-rates. Fans who purchase the original Switch version will be able to buy an upgrade pack when moving to the Switch 2.

Pre-orders for the hotly-anticipated Nintendo exclusive will go live on the Switch 2 launch date of June 5.

“Pokemon Legends: Z-A is a new frontier for the Pokemon video game series, blending an RPG story unfolding in a single city with action elements and a real-time battle system unlike anything seen before in the franchise,” reads the official description.

“Trainers can look forward to the beginning of a new adventure in Lumiose City—one woven by people and Pokemon together!”
