Investigators looking into the Learjet plane crash that killed all nine people on board have made a horrifying discovery. A piece of the aircraft was found almost four miles from the crash site in Greenacres, Florida, the US’ National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said.
NTSB member Tom Chapman said most of the left elevator — part of the tail that controls the aircraft’s pitch — was found in three pieces between 1.3 miles from Greenacres, near West Palm Beach. The discovery confirms an earlier theory that some parts of the aircraft had broken off before the horror crash.
