Five Chinese EVs expected to head to UK – from BYD's £8,000 car to Nio's Tesla rival

BYD Seal – £45,000

BYD (Build Your Dreams) is becoming one of the biggest players in the electric vehicle market and could soon challenge Tesla at the top of the market.

The brand already sells more electric models than any other car firm globally with the firm now one of the largest in China.

The BYD Dolphin is the brand’s five-door hatchback with hefty storage and comfortable passenger seating.

However, the BYD Seal is the company’s sporting offer and could soon be the biggest rival to Tesla’s Model 3.

The model can reach 0-62mph in just 3.8 seconds with an estimated battery range of 354 miles, almost identical to the Model 3 on both specs.

If those comparisons aren’t enough, both brands have positioned the price tag at around the £45,000 mark.
