Around 100 cars went up in flames early Sunday morning in a dramatic blaze at a Modesto scrapyard in California’s Central Valley.
Firefighters responded to the 500 block of Crows Landing Road at 3:38 a.m., arriving to find a massive fire tearing through stacked vehicles.
The flames were threatening nearby homes and businesses but firefighters managed to get a grip on it after an 80-minute battle.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
