A frantic search is underway for twin children authorities say were abducted by their father in Los Angeles County, with officials warning there is concern for their well-being.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department issued an urgent plea for help on Facebook, asking the public to help find two “at-risk” children, Solomon and Marozhina Sukonick.

Authorities said the twins were taken by their father, David Sukonick, around 8 p.m. Thursday from the 1000 block of West Avenue J-8 in Lancaster.

Marozhina Sukonick, 9, is described as 4 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 90 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said she was last seen wearing a white shirt and pink shorts.

Her twin brother, Solomon Sukonick, is also described as 4 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 90 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blue shorts and a shirt of unknown color.

Officials are asking anyone with information about the children’s whereabouts to immediately contact authorities.

The kids’ 71-year-old father weighs 135 pounds and is described as being 5 feet and 7 inches tall. He has green eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing black pants, a white shirt and a blue bandana.

In a post on Facebook on July 13, David shared a photo of the kids. At least one person commented that the kids looked “miserable,” saying they hope they are okay.
