Meghan Markle shared an insight into her relaxing weekend activities on Instagram as she uploaded a sweet picture of her sitting with a cup of herbal tea alongside a special guest – her dog, Mia. Meghan’s snap showed her wearing a cream and beige ensemble and holding a hot beverage as she stroked her pet beagle.
The Duchess of Sussex shared the image of her rescue pup via her lifestyle brand As Ever’s Instagram account. She captioned the post: “Summer afternoons, mint tea, and the sweetest company. (Hi, Mia!).”
Fans have expressed their love for her pet pooch on social media, with one commenting: “Even Mia matches Meghan’s aesthetic.
Perfect duo.”
Another posted, alongside a picture of a heart emoji: “Mia is never far from her mummy.”
A third wrote, “Meghan and her Mia” alongside an eye-watering emoji.
Meghan’s post featured the Duchess enjoying the herbal tea, and petting Mia, who could be seen standing on her hind legs and enjoying the attention. The dog has also featured in a previous As Ever post from May, which showed her sniffing some fresh vegetables.
Meghan has shared multiple photos around her home on her social media and brand accounts to promote her Netflix show ‘With Love, Meghan’, and her main As Ever brand.
Nine-year-old Mia was rescued by the Sussexes in 2022 from an animal testing centre and was first seen publicly in the family’s Christmas card last December.
The post came just hours after Queen Camilla shared an image of herself alongside her own new rescue dog, Moley. The Queen’s post marked her visit to the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, where she serves as Patron.
Queen Camilla’s image shows Moley being cradled by the Queen, and it was captured earlier in July, in the garden at Raymill, Her Majesty’s private house in Wiltshire, by photographer Chris Jackson.
Her Majesty is seen smiling in the snap as her brown and black puppy looked inquisitively at the camera. Moley is believed to be a Jack Russell Terrier cross, who Camilla once described as a “bit of everything”.
