Prince Harry’s US visa documents have been released to the public. Three of the documents have been disclosed to the public, although one, which contains private information, has remain sealed.
In a poll conducted by the Express, which ran between 1.30pm on March 18 and 10.30am on March 19, readers were asked whether they think it is right that Harry’s US visa documents have been released. Of the 7,831 Express readers who voted in the poll, 7,266 people voted that it is right that his documents are released to the public.
In contrast, 448 voted that his documentation should remain private, with an additional 117 people undecided by voting, ‘don’t know’.
His US visa has been heavily scrutinised following revelations that he made in his bombshell memoir, Spare, about his past drug use.
Taking to the comment section, one fan commented: “I’m American and I absolutely think we have the right to know if he lied and/or received special treatment…”
Another shared: “Harry had no compunction in releasing personal private details about his own Royal Family, so no, he should not have the privilege of privacy of his Visa…”
A third commented: “Harry decided to up sticks and move to America, if he wants to live in America he has to abide by the American rules…”
It has since been reported, since the documents were released on March 18, that there appears to be one unanswered question over whether Harry confessed his drug use in his application.
The Sun has since reported that the files did conclude that the 40-year-old was not given special treatment. A majority of a secret hearing, which took place in April last year, however, was blacked out.
