An iconic fashion brand will return to four UK high streets tomorrow. Exclusive Topshop pop-ups will take centre stage in John Lewis stores across four major cities, at its flagship store on Oxford Street in London, and at its Bristol, Leeds and Liverpool shops.
The collection will consist of 30 items, including outerwear, knitwear, partywear and denim, and they will be on a weekly rotation to keep looks fresh for shoppers. The nostalgic retailer will also reward its first 100 shoppers with a tote bag full of goodies, with further giveaways planned throughout the six-week takeover, reports Fashion Network. The Oxford Street pop-up will also host weekly DJ Sessions every Thursday evening from 13 November to bring “live music and energy”.
John Lewis director of fashion Rachel Morgans said the pop-ups are “an exciting glimpse” of what’s to come next year.
From February 2026, Topshop clothing and accessories will be sold across 32 John Lewis stores. Topman will be available in six of these shops, and both brands will also be available online.
Ms Morgans added: “This felt like the perfect moment for a ‘teaser’ pop-up. We’re bringing a curated edit of statement winter and partywear to our stores in London’s Oxford Street, Bristol, Leeds, Liverpool, and on our app.”
In August, the brand returned to the high street with an in-store residency at Liberty, London, which was considered a key step in its return to physical stores. The brand has also relaunched its standalone website so shoppers can purchase direct.
The high street staple closed all physical stores in February 2021, after its parent company, the Arcadia Group, went into administration in late 2020. The brand was acquired by ASOS, which made it an online-only brand.
In September 2024, ASOS announced plans to sell its 75% stake in Topshop to Bestseller, a Danish retail group which owns brands such as Jack & Jones.
Since then, Topshop has made its intentions clear to return to the high street, with its major comeback relying heavily on nostalgia from shoppers who relied on its fashion-forward looks in the 90s and 00s.
Topshop is also expanding, having secured collaborations with Irish department stores McElhinneys and Shaws, France’s Printemps, and Denmark’s Magasin du Nord.
