The fourth round draw of the FA Cup has been completed with some intriguing ties confirmed for the next round of the competition in mid-February. Sixth-tier Macclesfield’s reward for their historic win is another top-flight opponent – Brentford. While Wrexham host fellow Championship outfit Ipswich Town at the Racecourse Ground. Liverpool have not booked their spot in the next phase and must first beat Barnsley at Anfield tonight. If the Reds are victorious, they will host Brighton, who defeated Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.
After beating Championship strugglers Portsmouth, record 14-time FA Cup winners Arsenal host Wigan Athletic of League One. While new Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior will take the Blues back to his old club, Hull City. Manchester City could host Gary Neville’s Salford City having beaten the same team 8-0 in round three 12 months ago. The League Two side must first get past Swindon Town, who play in the same division, on January 20.
