Red Bull have reportedly cooled off their interest in Franco Colapinto after a difficult run of races for the Argentinian prospect.
Williams’ latest recruit wowed the F1 paddock with his performances after replacing Logan Sargeant, scoring points in two of his first four starts, but since then his results have taken a turn for the worse.
According to a report from PlanetF1, Red Bull are no longer considering Colapinto for a seat in either the senior team or VCARB next season.
“He, for sure, is a talent that’s looking to earn his permanent place in Formula One,” Christian Horner said in Qatar.
“We have a great pool of talent within the Red Bull junior team, and I’m sure Franco will find his way onto the grid in the future. You’re always keeping your eye on what the market is in all teams but we have the strength and depth in the junior programme.”
