Meghan Markle will be left “embarrassed” over damaging claims which will feature in a new documentary titled ‘Prince Harry – The Lost Prince’, claims one expert.

The German documentary – which will air on December 3 – promises to delve into the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s life in the US and their life since their decision to step down as senior working royals.

In a past interview with Express.co.uk, award-winning filmmaker Ulrike Grunewald discussed how the Duchess will likely react to the film.

When making the new film, Ulrike travelled to California – where Meghan and Harry now reside with their two children – to gather insights and opinions of the couple from the local neighbourhood.

She said: “[Prince] Harry – The Lost Prince will look into one of the most heartbreaking periods of the Royal Family since the abdication of Edward VIII in 1936. The most damaging allegations can only come from within.

“Revelations that shock the Royal Family only come out of Prince Harry’s or Meghan Markle’s mouths. I begin to understand the late Queen’s verdict that you can’t be ‘half in and half out.'”

Speaking of Meghan and her reputation in America, she added: “She [Meghan] might be embarrassed about the amount of criticism she now gets even in communities that used to back her after the decision to leave the Royal Family as a working member.”

Discussing the surprising reaction found about the couple, Ulrike claims that she received a bunch of mixed comments – with some remaining hopeful about Meghan and Harry’s “high potential”.

She said: “At the moment it is hard to see any big achievement of their Archewell Foundation, which claims to work for the improvement of communities. But there are still voices who see the high potential of the couple not only for the British monarchy but also for a liberal society.”

Ulrike then discussed Harry, adding that he remains a “figure of public interest” in America. She told the publication: “Even in his self-imposed exile in Montecito, California, he remains a figure of public interest. His commitment to charitable organisations – such as the Invictus Games he founded for wounded servicemen and women – always puts him in the spotlight.”

Meghan and Harry, who have been married for six years, have lived in Montecito since 2020.

The pair moved there with their son Prince Archie – who was less than a year-old at the time – before welcoming their daughter in 2021.
