If only the Giants knew what Ingrid Harbaugh knew right from the beginning.
The Giants knew they wanted John Harbaugh as their next head coach. They could not know if he wanted them. He was fired by the Ravens, after 18 years, on Jan. 6, and the Giants immediately reached out.
That caused reverberations inside the Harbaugh house in Owings Mills, Md.
“That was the team from the beginning,” Ingrid, John Harbaugh’s wife since 1991, told The Post on Tuesday. “He was so — he couldn’t believe it. He was like ‘The New York football Giants are interested in me!’ And we’re just thinking, we’re trying to get over this shock of being let go and he’s like ‘I feel like that’s the team.’ He knew it from the beginning, throughout the whole process.”
