Princess Kate will step out for a special visit to Royal Air Force Coningsby next Thursday (October 2). This will mark the first time that the 43-year-old has paid a visit since she became Royal Honorary Air Commodore in 2023.

The visit will give her an opportunity to have a firsthand introduction to RAF Coningsby and the work they do as part of the Royal Air Force. Following her arrival, Kate will receive an overview of the work of RAF Coningsby on recent operations, including overseas operations to Poland in support of NATO.

The station was recently awarded the ‘Stainforth Trophy’ for demonstrating excellence on operational activities.

Kate will also visit the Typhoon Future Synthetic Training facility – and view a Quick Reaction Alert Typhoon aircraft.

As well as meeting members of RAF Coningsby’s Welfare Team, the royal will also meet families of personnel serving at RAF Coningsby who are essential to providing support to those in service at the end of her visit.

During the summer of 2023, King Charles appointed new military affiliations for his beloved daughter-in-law.

As well as Royal Honorary Air Commodore, the appointments also saw the future Queen become Commodore-in-Chief, Fleet Air Arm, Colonel-in-Chief and 1st Queen’s Dragoon Guards.

Earlier this week, Kate and Prince William stepped out for an engagement in Southport.

During their visit to Churchtown Primark School, William, 43, told children and staff to “be brave, be joyful and be kind” as he vowed they “will always be here to support you”.

William and Kate have met privately with the bereaved families of Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, Bebe King, six, and Alice da Silva Aguiar, nine, who were murdered at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class last July.
