Everyone says the same thing at funny video of Buckingham Palace guards yelling at pigeons

Royal fans were left in hysterics after footage showed two Buckingham Palace guards shouting “make way” at pigeons as they marched through the crowd. The footage showed two guards marching from the gates of the Palace as two pigeons casually stroll in front of them.

Noticing the pigeons, one of the guards shouts “make way” – causing the pigeons to fly away.

The pair continue marching away from the crowd, who all seemed somewhat confused as to who the guards had shouted at.

Posting the video on social media platform X, one person wrote: “How they shouting ‘make way’ at the pigeons.”

Another wrote: “This might be one of the most British things ever to have happened”.

A third added: “Those poor pigeons must be traumatised”. While a fourth said: “I think that bird sh** itself before making it’s escape.”

The King’s Guard is allowed to shout “make way” if a person steps in front of a sentry while they are marching – though there is no official rules when it comes to pigeons.

Some were curious about the black briefcase the guards were carrying with them. “WHAT’S IN THE BOXXXXX?” questioned one user. Others, replying to the comment, suggested they were transporting a “trumpet’, nuclear codes” and “their tea and sandwiches for lunch”.
