Everyone is saying the same thing about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's plans for 2024

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s apparent plans for a 2024 comeback have been roundly dismissed on social media by fans of the Royal Family.

A source told Us Weekly earlier this week that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are in “extremely high demand” and are having to turn down multiple offers for speaking engagments as well as business and entertainment collaborations.

However on X, formerly Twitter, royal watchers expressed their disbelief at the possibility of a Sussex return, particularly after they were named amongst 2023’s “biggest losers” by the Hollywood Reporter.

One posted: “Finally moving on huh. I’ll believe that when I see it”, while another added: “Is this a joke? Come back from what exactly? lol!”

A third gave their insight: “What a load of rubbish! Every year we hear the same thing next year it’s going to change. These two are lazy and not that bright. All they do is leak what they are going to do without actually getting there.”

Another social media user pointed out: “So in a week, they went from being the biggest losers to rolling in offers? What a joke.”

A fifth explained: “It’s Christmas, not April fools. They’ve nothing to offer. Literally, no one believes this. How long have they been out of the Royal family, and they still haven’t made anything for themselves. Just trash talked the royal family. Hopefully, 2024, we will hear less about them.”

The past year has been a tricky one for Harry and Meghan, as while the publication of Harry’s memoir Spare in January saw huge commercial success, it further damaged their reputation with the royals.

Meghan claimed that she and Harry had “many exciting things on the slate”, adding: “I can’t wait until we can announce them, but I’m just really proud of what we’re creating. My husband is loving it too, which is really fun.”

One of these projects is rumoured to be an adaptation of Carley Fortune’s novel Meet Me At The Lake, which the couple are said to be producing.

A source close to Meghan has said she would certainly consider acting again, but that for now she is “100 percent more interested in directing and being behind the camera”.
