Paris, the city of love, has a thriving economy largely based on services and commerce. It is the most significant centre of economic activity in France, accounting for about 30% of the country’s GDP.

Although Paris is home to many wealthy people, including Bernard Arnault, one of the richest individuals in the world, London has more billionaires and millionaires than Paris.

The city holds international influence across multiple industries, including finance, fashion, culture, and commerce. According to the World Travel and Tourism Council, it is also the world’s most powerful city destination.

Paris welcomes tens of millions of visitors annually which generates a staggering amount of tourism revenue for the city. Last year, the number of visitors sparked to over 50 million as it hosted the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The stunning city boasts a number of attractions that draw in travellers from across the world. These include its incredible museums, including the Louvre, and most popular landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame.

Its wealth enables the city to offer luxury experiences, from fine dining to high-end shopping, but you don’t always have to spend a fortune to enjoy them. Walking around the city, even the more affordable spots have a lavish feel.
