A very lucky lottery winner could be waking up richer than some of the most famous people in the world this morning after scooping a staggering £210 million jackpot. The EuroMillions player matched the winning balls for Tuesday night’s draw and will now be catapulted into the world of the super wealthy.
The prize, which is equivalent to €250, has reportedly been one by a single player who bought their ticket in Europe. The game was a “Must Be Won” draw, meaning that if no ticket matched all five main numbers and two Lucky Stars, the jackpot prize would have rolled down into the prize tier where there is at least one winner – likely to be five main numbers and one Lucky Star.
The winning numbers were revealed as 24, 31, 34, 41 and 43, while the lucky numbers were 06 and 08. The UK Millionaire Maker Selection winner was XMPX55830. Odds of making a successful pick of all the right numbers for the draw are a staggering 1 in 139 million, but someone has managed it.
Now it’s been revealed the winner of the astonishing sum of money is from France. The closest UK player managed to match five main numbers and a lucky star, winning a healthy £182,967.60.
Once they claim their prize the French winner will have a bank balance worthy of the most successful businessmen and women, sports stars and celebrities.
It’s reported they could immediately become richer than the likes of British singer Dua Lipa, who is said to be worth around £115 million, and more than twice as wealthy as England striker Harry Kane.
The massive jackpot could also make the French winner richer than royalty, with their prize dwarfing the reported wealth of Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are said to have amassed around £60 million.
The biggest-ever lottery win in the UK was in July 2022, when an anonymous ticket holder scooped £195,707,000.
