Accused sexual abuser Eric Swalwell spent a whopping $500K of donor cash inside luxury hotels — including the rooms where he allegedly raped two women — according to campaign financial records reviewed by The California Post.

The disgraced politician racked up close to $36,500 in hotel expenses over the last 12 months — billing 70 different charges in the US and Mexico, according to the records.

Swalwell’s hotels of choice included the Intercontinental Mexico City, where he spent $4,300 meeting with deported resident Miguel Hildago; Hotel ZIggy in West Hollywood, the Roosevelt Hollywood, the exclusive Ned Nomad in New York City, and the 1 Hotel in Brooklyn.

The nearly $500,000 in expenses were all charged during Swalwell’s time in Congress, his term started in 2013.

The California Post can also reveal Swalwell’s alleged troubling activities are now under investigation by the US Department of Justice.

The Democratic ex-congressman charged his congressional campaign for a hotel room at the Montrose West Hollywood on July 18, 2018, which aligns with the date and location of an alleged rape incident reported Tuesday to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department by Lonna Drewes.

Drewes, a 50-year-old model, publicly accused Swalwell of sexually assaulting her during a 2018 encounter inside a West Hollywood hotel room.

“When I arrived at his hotel room, I was already incapacitated, and I couldn’t move my arms over my body. He raped me, and he choked me. And while he was choking me, I lost consciousness. I thought I died,” Drewes said during a press conference Tuesday.

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman announced his office has already assigned a prosecuting attorney to aid in the criminal investigation of the alleged incident.

Swalwell also made two separate payments of $1,095.52 for rooms at the Times Square Edition on Feb. 26, 2024, according to campaign finance records reviewed by The Post. The five-star hotel is just a 10-minute walk from Swalwell and another alleged victim attended an awards show gala just two months later.

Campaign finance records indicate the date a staffer or the candidate asked for reimbursement for the travel expenses, which could help to explain the time difference between the expense and the date of the alleged attack.

The alleged victim claimed she went out with drinking with Swalwell after the gala and eventually became intoxicated to the point she couldn’t remember leaving the bar.

The woman claimed she then woke up to Swalwell “having sex with her,” as she allegedly failed to push him off, she told CNN.
