Emma Raducanu had her vital signs checked in a worrying moment while playing against Zhu Lin at the Ningbo Open. The young Brit was midway through the second set of her opening match of the tournament when she called for a medical timeout. She breezed through the first set without too much trouble but the taxing conditions began to take a toll as the contest progressed.
Raducanu was losing in the second set by four games to three when she approached the chair umpire to ask for the physio. She sat down in her chair as her vital signs were checked and she was given a quick examination. After a delay of several minutes, Raducanu was able to continue and won the next game on serve to draw level at four each.
