‘Easy to use’ soup maker now 25% off at Lakeland

As we move deeper into autumn, there’s nothing like a comforting bowl of soup or stew to warm up a cold night. As part of a seasonal promotion at Lakeland, home cooks wanting to try some new dishes can get select kitchen gadgets, including a handy soup maker, for up to 25% off.

As part of Lakeland’s Autumn Savings Event, shoppers can save £20 on this own-brand sauté soup maker, which has been reduced from £79.99 to £59.99. The promotion is only running for a limited time and also includes offers on laundry, storage, baking and cleaning supplies.

Making soup can take a lot of time and effort, especially if the recipe calls for sautéing veggies or browning meat before adding them to the pot. This all-in-one gadget has a built-in sauté function that aims to eliminate the pile of washing up and cut down on time. All you have to do is throw in the ingredients you want to pre-cook and hit the sauté button, the brand says.

The soup maker promises to whip up smooth or chunky soups in under 30 minutes, but it can also be used for sauces and even cold drinks. The blend function allows for the creation of textured sauces and salsa, and there’s also a drinks function for smoothies and juices.

This is amongst the most reviewed devices in Lakeland’s kitchen promotion, with most buyers agreeing it’s a breeze to use.

One satisfied customer said: “I found the soup maker easy to use. My first attempt was a vegetable soup, which was really good and tasted better than our usual tinned variety.

“Next up was a favourite of mine, leek and potato, again another success…I used it under our cooker hood, so the whole process was steam-free. Very pleased with the soup maker.”

Another wrote: “My first time of using a soup maker and was impressed by how easy it is to use, producing lovely smooth soup in 30 mins.”

The appliance has a 1.6L capacity which according to one shopper “is enough for two generous bowls so [it’s] ideal for a couple”. With this in mind, people planning on cooking for larger groups might find this appliance too small.
