Easter Break is a valuable time for the royals, explained

The Easter holiday will allow the royals time to rest and regroup, says one royal expert.

Daily Express US spoke to a source, who says: “I think what they’re doing now, what they’re trying to do certainly, the Easter Break is a very, very valuable thing.”

He explains: “First of all, Parliament rises today (March 26), it goes on its Easter holiday, what will happen, is that all of the interest that usually centres on the courts, on Parliament, on politics, and thereby, also on the Royal Family, that will be downplayed, quite vigorously.”

Easter lands on Sunday, March 31, this year, and it’s the start of a two-week break, with Parliament going on recess through April 15.

King Charles, Queen Camilla, Princess Anne, and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh will attend the morning service at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor on Sunday, but Prince William and Princess Kate will spend the day at Anmer Hall, their country house on the Sandringham Estate.

The king would like to be seen to let people know he’s doing okay, and the Waleses would like to go unseen and spend time alone as a family, says the well-informed source.

According to our source: “The Waleses flew by helicopter, but Prince William went separately, they always sort of separate the heir to the throne and the heir apparent.”

He says: “They don’t fly together, they’ve gone to their country house, Anmer Hall, which is very well appointed, and suits their requirements very well, and I’m quite sure, they will have a very nice Easter holiday.”

Referring to Princess Kate’s video message, that was released on Friday, March 22, at 6pm (GMT) he says: “And she’s asked for privacy and peace, and I’m quite sure, they will receive that, certainly in this country, nobody in mainstream media is going to be harassing them or dogging their steps, it’s just not going to happen.”

“So, they will be left to do what they like.”

Our source also addresses the king’s wishes for the holiday: “The King, wanting to demonstrate that he wants to come back, will attend the morning service at St. George’s Chapel Windsor on the Sunday, with the queen, and with other members of the Royal Family. Princess Anne and others will be there.”

It’s a way for the king to stay connected with the public, with the royal insider adding: “He wants to try and say to people, ‘I’m doing my best, and everything is as good as it can be at the moment,’ that’s what’s happening with them.”

The day is meant to be quiet, there are no big plans, other than a photo call outside of the chapel, as the Royal Family come out of a side entrance versus the main stairs.

“That’s what they’re trying to do, it’s after the storm, and it’s the calm now, and this is calm, as calm as it can be.”
