Now a royal expert has come out to sing her praises as they labelled her a “mainstay of the Firm”.
Veteran royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams hailed Sophie for her humility and commitment to her royal duties.
He told Express.co.uk: “Sophie, who got on famously with the late Queen, has for years been a mainstay of ‘the Firm’.
“She is approachable, stylish and attached to over 70 charities, but does not court publicity.”
The expert added that the duchess as well as her husband are “indispensable” to King Charles.
He explained: “Their trips abroad are not hyped but they are nonetheless very valuable.
“As Prince Edward turns 60 expect to see a good deal more of them both in the coming months.”
Elsewhere, the expert described Edward as being a “pivotal figure” within the Royal Family.
