It’s worth noting that the shuttle bus service costs 3€ (£2.60) per person, and the walking route can prove challenging with steep sections.

Nevertheless, this didn’t appear to deter visitors, as countless viewers rushed to the TikTok video’s comment section to share their own experiences.

“I was in Ravenna Gorge last year. It is just a beautiful in person,” one person remarked. Another said: “It’s beautiful went in 2022.”

“I need to go here,” a third viewer declared, with numerous others expressing similar sentiments. Another person wrote: “This looks amazing, so pretty.”

As temperatures drop and woolly jumpers emerge from wardrobes, many Brits will begin to plan out their autumn and winter escapes.

Whilst fleeing the dreary and chilly conditions for somewhere warm and tropical might sound tempting, this is also the perfect time for a European adventure to experience one of the numerous beloved Christmas markets.

Whilst Prague and Strasbourg boast some of the globe’s most celebrated Christmas markets, Germany is renowned for capturing the festive spirit with their annual markets, which can be discovered in most towns.

Cities such as Dresden, Nuremberg, and Frankfurt play host to some of the most famous markets, but people are only now discovering another market tucked away within the Black Forest region, and it appears to have stepped straight from a fairy tale.

“Not enough people are talking about this magical Christmas market under a railway,” one TikTok video declared as it revealed an aerial view of the seasonal market.

“We think we might have just found the most magical Christmas market… set under a railway,” they penned in the video’s caption. “This is Ravenna Gorge, and you can visit on select weekends in November and December.”

Ravenna Gorge sits within the Black Forest in southwest Germany. Each year, a Christmas market materialises beneath a stone viaduct that illuminates in various colours for the occasion, featuring over 40 stalls offering regional and handcrafted goods and food.

“The market operates exclusively on selected weekends throughout November and December,” they explained, noting that accommodation near the market starts from £64 per person.

Entry tickets are priced at 6.50€ (£5.62) before 4pm, rising to 8.50€ (£7.35) after 4pm, with children admitted free of charge. However, visitors must act swiftly, as tickets frequently sell out well in advance due to enormous demand.

Tickets for the 2025 market become available on October 14, 2025, and must be purchased online.

Given the market’s location deep within the forest, direct vehicle access to the market area is impossible. Instead, guests can reach the destination via shuttle bus or on foot, though advance transport planning is strongly advised.
