President Donald Trump’s distinctive orange complexion was noticeably more pronounced on Thursday as he presided over his eighth cabinet meeting, just a day before his scheduled ‘routine yearly check up’ at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed in a statement on Wednesday that Trump would be visiting Walter Reed Medical Center for a prearranged meeting with service members.

This cabinet meeting took place against the backdrop of a government shutdown and escalating tensions over National Guard deployments in Illinois and Oregon, as well as the potential agreement between Israel and Hamas to the initial phase of the Trump administration’s peace plan. The news comes as Trump ‘struggles to stay awake’ as his face ‘droops’ during Antifa roundtable.

“While there, President Trump will stop by for his routine yearly check up,” before returning to the White House. During a roundtable at the White House on Wednesday afternoon, Trump hinted at a possible trip to the Middle East, stating, “I’ll be going to Egypt, most likely, that’s where everybody is gathered right now.”

The president had an annual physical examination at Walter Reed in April, which included diagnostic and laboratory testing, offering a first public insight into the president’s health during his second term, reports the Express US.

White House physician Sean Barbabella declared in a memo at the time of the first exam that Trump was in “excellent health.”

The White House has not provided any explanation as to why Trump is having another physical exam.

“President exhibits excellent cognitive and physical health and is fully fit to execute the duties of the Commander-in-Chief and Head of State,” Barbabella penned in an April memo.

The memo also mentioned a cholesterol medication and indicated that Trump fell into the overweight category.

Trump spoke with the press at the White House today and was asked about his appointment.

He replied, “I’m going to do a sort of semi-annual physical, which I do. I think I’m in great shape. Knock on wood. Mentally I feel very good.

“I like to check, always be early. It’s a lesson for a lot of people. But I also did a cognitive exam. And I had a perfect score. One of the doctors said he’s never seen a perfect score.”

X users piled onto the post to publish their comments on his health.

Stephen 6776 said “Why does he keep bringing up his ‘cognitive score’ in a dementia test when he’s about to go for a physical examination?”

Bubsy Ryder commented, “He’s obviously well enough to tell the same lie about his cognitive tests over and over again.”

Ken Klinkner penned, “If you have to brag that you had a perfect score, you probably didn’t come close!”

HuskerKia related the tests to current events, “They are going to medically clear him for travel to the Middle East because he’s in demonstrably poor / declining health.”

At 79, Trump is the oldest individual to be elected president, just a few months older than former President Joe Biden when he was elected in 2020.

Trump’s health has recently sparked online rumours and conspiracy theories after he was not seen in public for several days leading up to the Labor Day weekend. The presence of a bruise on the back of his right hand, which sometimes appears to be covered with makeup, has also been a subject of speculation in recent months.

In February, the White House stated that the bruise resulted from Trump “constantly working and shaking hands all day every day.”

This afternoon, the president is also scheduled to meet with the president of Finland.
