Former US President Donald Trump said in an interview with GB News’ Nigel Farage on Tuesday that he “got along great” with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Trump has frequently said that he could settle the Russia-Ukraine war if he takes office again, claiming that he could stop the war “in 24 hours.”
When asked if he thinks he could make negotiations with Putin, Trump said to Farage: “We did very well with him…I got along with Putin great. I got along with President Xi great – that’s a good thing, not a bad thing…
“[Putin] responded to me. I can tell you one thing, he certainly wouldn’t have gone into Ukraine…You wouldn’t have had Ukraine, you wouldn’t have had Israel. The attack on October 7 would never have taken place.”
