After Trump was pictured for the first time in days after a brief “disappearance”, recent photo of former US President Joe Biden is circulating the internet, as people compare him to Donald Trump while both face ongoing health concerns.
In recent weeks, the 79-year-old president has been spotted in public with swollen ankles, a severely bruised hand, and other signs that have raised concerns about his cognitive health. Most recently, a doctor reportedly warned him that his leg might need to be amputated after identifying a concerning medical issue.
After Trump reappeared on the golf course following his brief hiatus, many were quick to point out that he did not look particularly healthy, with one X user drawing the comparison between him and Biden.
Sharing a picture of the two, user @chrisdjackson wrote: “Joe Biden vs Donald Trump today. Speaks for itself, doesn’t it? When’s the media going to wake up about Trump’s failing health and give it even half the coverage they obsessed over with Biden?”
Donald Trump was recently diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), a condition that affects the veins – most often in the legs – leading to impaired blood flow back to the heart. While CVI is typically not considered life-threatening, it can significantly affect comfort and daily functioning.
Biden announced his cancer diagnosis back in May with a heartbreaking statement, stating: “Cancer touches us all.”
He added: “Like Like so many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are strongest in the broken places. Thank you for lifting us up with love and support.”
Despite his health problems, Biden is currently working on a book that will focus on his time as president.
