In the run-up to Christmas, Cadbury fans have taken to social media to complain about their favourite festive treats as they spot “mistakes” in the chocolate tub selections.
In a Cadbury Heroes box, one sweet-toothed fan was left disappointed after the usual white and yellow-centred filling was missing in a Cadbury Creme Egg Twisted chocolate.
X user, Jo Cole said: “Just opened by Hero’s and the creme egg twisted are all strawberry flavour! What’s going on? – very disappointing!”
Cadbury replied to his post and instead referenced Cadbury Roses: “This year, a small percentage of Cadbury Roses products will not contain any Orange Cremes due to supply chain challenges. But don’t worry, you’ll still be able to enjoy the same amount of chocolate as usual as we’ve replaced them with our much-loved Strawberry Cremes.”
Others have noticed the same discrepancy within the Cadbury Heroes box.
One became emotional about the discovery and wrote: “Why the f**k has Cadbury’s changed the Twisted Creme Egg in the box of Heroes? It is not the same I am raging.”
Fans of Cadbury Roses products have also been left upset to find they will not be able to enjoy their orange creme sweets.
User, @meandhim2004 said: “So disappointed!!! Just opened up a tub of Roses and there is not one Tangy Orange Cream inside……..these are actually the only Roses I like.”
Cadbury has tried to respond to customers who have posted on social media about their discoveries and lack of their favourite chocolate.
Outlet LadBible reported some customers found their Wispa chocolates in Heroes boxes were just empty shells instead of airy chocolate.
The complainant said: “Not one but two Wispa shells in my @CadburyUK Heroes. Not good quality control.”
Another recent discovery by a Wispa fan was that the Cadbury Wispa Gold Hot Chocolate had been discontinued to the dismay of the customer.
