Devan Kaney, a co-host on 94WIP-FM Sports Radio’s morning talk show and its Philadelphia Eagles sideline reporter, was a part of a new round of layoffs by parent company Audacy, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer.

“I had a blast working at WIP and sincerely enjoyed my time there,” said Kaney, who has been with the station since 2022. “But as the old saying goes, when one door closes, another opens.”

Kaney said she will remain in her weekend sports anchor and reporter role with FOX 29 Philadelphia. The Radnor, Pennsylvania, native joined FOX 29 in 2023.

Kaney was a regular co-host on WIP’s morning show alongside Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie.

She also took over the Eagles sideline reporter job for the radio broadcast in the 2024 season following Howard Eskin’s exit.

Kaney previously covered collegiate and professional lacrosse for networks including ESPN, TSN and NBC Sports as a sideline reporter and host.

The news came after NBC Sports Philadelphia parted ways with Taryn Hatcher, a former Phillies sideline reporter, who also covered 76ers games.

Hatcher, who started at NBCSP in 2018 and started as the Flyers’ rinkside reporter, joined the CW broadcast team earlier this month as part of its coverage of the Professional Bowlers Association.

NBCSP chose not to renew her contract after it expired following the 2025 season and eliminated the position, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported at the time.

Alexandra Matcham, NBCSP’s vice president of content, said the network is shifting its storytelling approach to reach a broader audience and changing its coverage.
