Tommy Robinson has reportedly been spotted in Tenerife hours after police linked him to an alleged assault at St Pancras Station that left a man unconscious. Mr Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, reportedly boarded an early morning Ryanair flight alone yesterday from London Stansted to Tenerife South Airport.
Video footage posted on TikTok by a fellow passenger appeared to show Mr Robinson, 42, having his passport checked before boarding the flight, which is said to have departed Stansted at 6.45am local time. A separate clip shows the former English Defence League (EDL) leader disembarking the plane on the Spanish island.
Olive Press cited sources who said he was “on the move” on the island. The Express has not independently verified these claims.
British Transport Police confirmed they were called to St Pancras just after 8.40pm on Monday following reports of an assault. A man was found with serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.
Officers have launched an investigation and are urging witnesses to come forward.
They confirmed a 42-year-old man from Bedfordshire had “boarded a flight” following the incident.
In a video shared on social media, Robinson is seen pacing near the unconscious man.
When a passer-by tries to help, Robinson shouts: “You saw him come at me, bruv,” before leaving the scene.
Robinson was recently released from HMP Woodhill after his 18-month sentence for contempt of court was reduced.
Police said: “Following a report of an assault at St Pancras station last night (28 July), officers have confirmed that the suspect, a 42-year-old man from Bedfordshire, boarded a flight out of the country in the early hours of this morning.
Detectives are continuing to work closely to progress the investigation and bring him into custody for questioning.”
Robinson has a well-documented history of using Spain and Portugal as hideouts, particularly in the Costa Blanca and Costa del Sol, often staying in luxury properties that serve as bases for his extremist content.
Last summer, he spent time in a €1.5 million villa in L’Albir, near Benidorm, reportedly owned by British fashion tycoon Philip Day.
