Seven men have been rescued after reports of ‘banging and shouting’ from inside a Nutella lorry.
The men were found sat on 12ft high pallets of the chocolate spread inside the white Scania lorry.
Cambridgeshire Police said they had received a 999 call reporting the shouting and banging while the lorry was parked up at Brampton Hut Services in Cambs.
A picture released by police shows the men lying on top of the boxes as the fire service help get them out – they were later checked over by the ambulance workers.
They were taken to the Police Investigation Centre in King’s Lynn, Norfolk and have since been transferred to the immigration service.
The 44-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of facilitating the illegal entry into the UK and has since been bailed to return to the police station next year.
It is not known what nationality the men are or where the lorry had originated from.
