George Kittle’s Tight End & Friends Super Bowl party on Thursday night turned into a soft reunion of his former and current teammates, and a hard reminder all at once that time moves on in the NFL, but the bonds players make will live on forever.
Former San Francisco 49ers standouts Deebo Samuel, now with the Commanders, and Azeez Al-Shaair of the Texans slipped back into familiar company Thursday night at George and Claire Kittle’s party. The players were seen laughing and embracing old allies — Trent Williams, George Kittle, owner Jed York, general manager John Lynch, and head coach Kyle Shanahan — a tableau that hit Niners fans right in the chest.

It didn’t take long for the video to ripple across social media.
Speculation followed, of course.
Could San Francisco ever bring one of them home? Maybe. Maybe not.
Mostly, though, it was just good to see them all together again — the 49ers teammates played in two Super Bowls together, both losses to the Chiefs.
Speaking of the Chiefs, Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift’s fiancé and three-time Super Bowl Champion, was also in attendance. He snagged a private, quiet moment with Kittle, who was posted in a perch high above the event has he recovers from Achilles tendon surgery. Kittle ruptured his Achilles in the 49ers victory over the Eagles in the NFC Divisional Round.
The guest list read like a Super Bowl fever dream: Isaiah Likely, Colston Loveland, Jake Tonges, Juwan Johnson, Illona Maher, Jared Goff, Cam Jordan, RG3, Reggie Bush, Adam Devine, Camille Kostek, Charlotte Flair, and more packed the venue. Loud Luxury and Frank Walker kept the floor moving late, while Cash App, Smirnoff, Maestro Dobel, Bud Light, Verizon, and others turned the space into a full-sensory kickoff to Super Bowl weekend — custom cocktails, Puesto tacos, exclusive swag, and a locker full of temptation.

For one night, the past and present collided.
And for Niners Nation, it felt like seeing family again — even if just for a fun-filled weekend.
