Spring sunshine has begun to make an appearance, prompting many Britons to start thinking about their outdoor garden furniture. But, if you’re on the hunt for a bargain item, Debenhams currently has a number of reductions on garden furnishings. A classic garden bench has caught our eye, which has seen a significant price cut—a 52% discount from its original £124.99 down to just £59.85.

According to the retailer, this three-seater bench is for those keen to indulge in lazy afternoons with a book or enjoy evening tipples outdoors. The bench brings both “charm” and “comfort” to any garden setting. Its slatted design paired with a robust iron frame promises both aesthetic appeal and ergonomic support.

According to the Debenhams website: “The bench features a sturdy iron frame that ensures stability and longevity. The iron frame not only adds a classic touch to the design but also enhances the bench’s durability, making it a reliable addition to your garden or patio. The seat and back of the bench are expertly constructed from solid pine, offering a comfortable and inviting seating surface.”

The bench holds a respectable four-star rating in terms of customer satisfaction, with reviewers praising its “sturdy” build and ease of assembly. “Great bench for our allotment, easy to put together, and seems solid enough for the price,” noted one customer.

Another content purchaser remarked: “Lovely bench for summer, easy to put together and looks good on my patio.”

Meanwhile, a third review complimented: “Beautiful bench, well-made and sturdy, would highly recommend.”

A delighted customer exclaimed: “Just what I needed for my garden space. Was easy enough for hubby and four-year-old to put together. Hopefully it’ll last!”

Yet some buyers didn’t find the assembly of the bench straightforward, with one reviewer stating: “Once it was built, it is a sturdy and attractive bench. I underestimated how long it would take me to assemble it, though.”

To enhance the bench, you could purchase a cushion pad with a unique design. Dunelm, for example, offers a Striped Lilypad Bench Pad priced at £25. Shoppers have applauded it for its “lovely” look. Similarly,
