During one clip in the docuseries, David – who was knighted earlier this year – can be seen giving a tour of his flower bed at the family’s Cotswolds home.
The flower bed was seen to feature a rose, with a plant marker in the soil reading: “Rosa. William and Catherine.”
As reported by The Sun, the rose is the William and Catherine Rose that was created by horticulturist David Austin in 2011 to celebrate the royal couple’s wedding.
The flower bed was not yet seen to feature Catherine’s Rose, a rose named after The Princess of Wales, which was revealed this year by The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS).
In an interview at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, earlier this year, David spoke about how he is a “a huge royalist”.
He also said that whenever Prince William needs him, he is there. He said at the event:”Whenever the Prince of Wales sends me a message and says, ‘I need you to do this’ or ‘Be there’, it’s always a ‘Yes’.”
The former footballer is also believed to get on well with King Charles and has been spotted alongside them at various events.
