David and Victoria Beckham were “blindsided” when finding out their eldest son, Brooklyn and his wife Nicola, attended an intimate dinner party at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s multi-million pound mansion in Montecito, California, it has been claimed. A source further added that they “didn’t see it coming”.

Speaking to the Sun, a source further claimed: “David and Victoria were blindsided by the news — they didn’t see it coming. Of course it’s a bit weird for them as they used to socialise with Meghan and Harry, and now their boy is doing it.”

They added: “David has no problem with Harry and has always acted very graciously towards him — even after the fall-out with Victoria — and they still communicate occasionally.”

The source also suggested the Beckhams could be worried about Meghan Markle’s influence. They said: “The last thing they need is for her to be pouring bile into Brooklyn’s ear, telling him to cast his parents out, as she has done with her own dad.”

Speaking on the speculation between the fallout of Brooklyn Beckham and his family, the source added: “What was supposed to be a very private family feud is rapidly escalating and obviously it’s incredibly frustrating for the family.”

It has been reported tensions are running high after Brooklyn and wife Nicola did not attend any of David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebrations. The couple reportedly have a strained relationship with Brooklyn’s parents.

On May 3, the Beckhams celebrated the milestone with a star-studded dinner in London, which was attended by all of Brooklyn’s siblings, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 13. On Instagram, David shared photos of what appeared to be a more intimate celebration that Brooklyn and Nicola were not at.

Victoria also shared a recap of the party on Instagram, writing alongside a carousel of photos, “Creating special memories with family and friends. We love you all,” but Brooklyn and his wife were not pictured in the photos.

Brooklyn, 26, and Nicola, 30, were invited to the Sussexes’ £11 million home in California for a gathering last week that included around 18 guests — among them Paramount CEO Brian Robbins and his wife Tracy, both close friends of Meghan and Harry. Critics have pointed out similarities between the two couples and their public feuds with their respective family.

There has been no official comment from either side.

Since the ‘fallout’, however, the younger Beckhams have recently been spotted at an AirBnb event with Brooklyn cuddling up to his actress wife. The pair matched in all-black ensembles, snaps of which Nicola Peltz shared to her 3.1million Instagram followers.

She captioned the photos: “So fun to see what @airbnb is doing next! I’m really excited to try all of the different experiences and services at my next airbnb stay. What a wonderful presentation @bchesky thank you so much for having us.”
