Dave Portnoy didn’t hesitate with calling out Ryan Day and No. 2 Ohio State in the aftermath of its 30-18 loss to unranked USC on Saturday.

Portnoy, an avid Michigan fan, wrote that “Ryan Day is trash” and that he’s “torpedoing the program” in an X post, while he also shared a nearly 90-second video dissecting the game.

“Look at this, they’re going bananas at the Coliseum,” said Portnoy, wearing a Michigan hat and hoodie with a television screen behind him. “I said to Ohio State fans, I go, ‘Oh, the quarterback’s down. Let’s see how Ryan Day coaches now.’ Nobody likes to see injuries. Let’s see how good of a coach this guy is without the quarterback, and what does he do? For the billionth time, he poops himself, he pees on the leg, and I’m gonna tell you, this USC team? They’re not very good.

“Lincoln Riley, soft as marshmallow. They don’t have a top-five win since he’s been there, and they just steamroll you guys. They embarrass you guys. They punch you in the mouth, watch you bleed.”

It makes me sick to my stomach watching USC bully and bruise a once proud Ohio State team. Ryan Day once again totally lost when the pressure is on. YOU HATE TO SEE IT!

The feud between Portnoy and Day has been well-documented, with the former claiming that Day had him pushed out of Fox Sports’ “Big Noon Kickoff” earlier this year.

Portnoy’s Wolverines needed a late touchdown drive from freshman quarterback Tommy Carr to escape 2-6 Rutgers, but Ohio State — missing injured quarterback Julian Sayin — was never within striking distance against the Trojans.

The Buckeyes trailed by 11 after the opening quarter and 18 after 45 minutes, as backup quarterback Luke Fahey only managed to throw for 260 yards and a touchdown.

Portnoy, who said he wants both the Buckeyes and the Wolverines to be good for the state of the rivalry, added in his video that “this was disgusting to see.”

“Ryan Day has no answer for the billionth time in a big game, and this isn’t even really a big game because USC stinks,” Portnoy said. “It actually makes me sick to see Ohio State go to the softest team in the country and get bullied like that. It makes me sick to my stomach as a Michigan fan.”

Ohio State still has three more games before its showdown with Michigan, starting with Oregon next weekend.
