A daredevil was spotted strolling across the suspension cables of the Brooklyn Bridge on Wednesday evening — prompting a massive rescue mission and shuttering part of the historic span to traffic during rush hour.
Terrifying video obtained by The Post captured a man walking across the steel cables from a towering pillar on the bridge just before 7:40 p.m.
The unidentified climber was taken into custody late Wednesday night by the NYPD’s Emergency Service Unit, hours after authorities established dialogue with the man.
Eastbound lanes of the bridge heading toward Brooklyn were reopened by around 10 p.m. on Wednesday after being closed due to the stunt, cops said.
In 2022, a man scaled the cables of the Brooklyn Bridge, snarling morning rush-hour traffic for about 90 minutes.
