Danny Dimes is cashing in again, with another team ready to back up the Brinks truck with a hefty payday.

Colts quarterback Daniel Jones is expected to agree to a new massive contract Wednesday, according to multiple reports, with the expectation that he will receive a two-year deal to remain in Indianapolis.

Jones had been seeking $50 million per year, while the Colts reportedly initially offered three years and $100.5 million, leaving significant ground to make up in a new deal for the former Giants quarterback.

If Jones does indeed land $50 million per season, he would be the league’s 12th-highest-paid quarterback in terms of average annual value.

The Colts are set to re-signwide receiver Alec Pierce to a massive contract extension after a strong season last year, with reports also indicating that Jones’ presence in Indianapolis significantly influenced Pierce’s free agency.

Indianapolis started last season 8-1 with Jones leading the way after he won a preseason QB competition with Anthony Richardson.

Jones threw for 3,101 yards in 13 games, throwing 19 touchdowns and eight interceptions while also rushing for 164 yards and five rushing scores.

His season was cut short due to a torn Achilles tendon during Week 14 against the Jaguars when he went down in a non-contact injury.

The initial recovery prognosis was six to eight months, which will affect his availability for training camp and potentially the start of the season.

Jones has career earnings of $122.8 million, according to Spotrac, most of which were paid by the Giants.

Big Blue drafted Jones in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft and extended him with a four-year $160 million contract after making the playoffs in 2022.

Jones was cut by the Giants near the end of the 2024 season, and the then signed with the Vikings and was mostly a practice squad third-stringer in Minnesota.
