A Brad Pitt World War 2 movie that has been described a “ciminally underrated” is available to watch on Netflix, but it is set to soon be dropped from the streaming site. This will be in May, according to What’s on Netflix. But there is still time to catch Fury, which was released in cinemas in 2014. The film also features Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Jon Bernthal and Michael Peña, who play a tank crew during the invasion of Germany by allied forces in 1945.

New recruit, Norman Ellison, struggles to adapt to the violence on the front line, but eventually wins the respect of his comrades. The ensemble cast caught the eye of critics, as the picture won the National Board of Review’s award for Best Ensemble. In addition, Hollywood Film Awards awarded it the Editor of the Year, Mr Pitt was nominated for Best Actor in an Action Movie by the Critics’ Choice Awards, and the film was nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Stunt Ensemble.

Brad Pitt was also nominated for Best Actor in an Action Movie by the Critics’ Choice Awards. Additionally, the film was nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Stunt Ensemble. A viewer took to Reddit to suggest that people had not been appreciative enough of the movie.

They wrote: “So, I’m rewatching Fury (2014) as I’m typing this and I have to say that it’s gotten too harsh critic over the years.

“Fine, if you view it as a ‘war movie’ with literall definition, it wouldn’t make any sense for the crew of Fury not to abandon their tank in the final battle scene.

“I mean, come on, what, one SS batallion against one Sherman in order to defend a POG-company? In Germany in late April of 45?! That won’t stick!”

They added: “However, as I rewatch it I come to terms with the fact that Don and the rest of the crew deliberatly come to stay with their tank as they understood that the war might be over soon, but they’ll still be fighting the war against their own demons for the rest of their lifes.

“I first saw the movie when I was a kid (almost) and before I saw war myself (not WWII of course) in Afghanistan and I think that’s why I didn’t like it in the first place byt love it now. For me it represent something as odd as American soldiers on screen feeling genuinly bad over the war.

“Fury could easally be compared with the likes of ‘The Thin Red Line’ or ‘All Quiet on the Western Front’.”

The movie is appreciated by others. One person said: “I never thought it was underrated.

“I was actually telling my girlfriend about it about a week ago when I saw a clip from towards the end of the movie and asked if she’d seen it and she hadn’t so we added it to our list.”

Another account added: “Absolutely love Fury. I made sure I saw it in a theatre with really good sound and I was not disappointed at all with that choice.

“It was just a good, solid movie.”

A different film buff wrote: “Not too underrated. I know its probably laden with dramatic flair but its the most famous depiction of WW2 from a tank crews perspective.

“Too often you get the infantryman or pilots perspective. Never do we really see WW2 depicted from the inside of a tank from Hollywood.

“For that reason alone its a pretty cool/unique war flick. Plus beavy star power and they all have really good dialogue and chemistry with one another throughout. I’ve never heard anyone say it was a bad movie.”
