How many times is the BBC – our sick and dangerous joke of a state broadcaster – going to get away with being repulsively anti-Semitic – with zero consequences? This shameful organisation, once a beacon of journalistic integrity, allowed some two-bit punk singer no-one had ever heard of to incite hatred of, and chant for the death of young Jews during the 20 excruciating minutes that were his Glastonbury set.
And its reaction to having broadcast this hate-filled filth was what? The BBC did what it always does when it’s done something revolting and unforgivable – it apologises and hopes that’s an end to it. But this time Jewish people didn’t even get an apology.
The corporation merely said it “regretted” not pulling the scumbag Vylan’s hate filled death chants earlier which is a million miles from an apology.
And is that supposed to be it? Is the BBC, yet again, going to walk away from another anti-Semitic scandal which shames this country and is a betrayal of every single Jew in it?
Well, it damn well shouldn’t. Not anymore. How many times is it going to be allowed to step outside the bounds of decency? How many times are we going to have to stomach its screaming bias and its total disdain for a majority of British people who despise its partisanship and the fact it’s become a platform for terrorists.
And now we find out that Director General, Tim Davie, was actually at the bloody festival when this moron Vylan was screaming his Jew hate. And he did nothing.
Was he drinking champagne in hospitality (paid for by you and me) and didn’t hear it (still no excuse) Or DID he hear it and decide to do nothing. I’m guessing it’s the latter in which case we can only assume he didn’t disagree with Vylan’s Jew hate.
Davie must have seen the grotesque pictures of those poor young people slaughtered by Hamas at the Nova music festival, yet he and his leftie cronies allowed those scumbag festival goers at Glastonbury to celebrate the butchers who did it by transmitting their hate to the world.
He has to go. For too long this week, ineffectual man has presided over a BBC that has become a platform that pushes anti-Semitic hate, an organisation that refuses to condemn terrorists, an organisation that cherry picks the news it wants to transmit and then puts out its own partial, often anti-Semitic, stance on it.
Under Davie’s feeble leadership the BBC has become a corporation that has repeatedly failed the Jewish community here in Britain and made life markedly less safe for them.
So how long before we say No Bloody More and defund it? I’m sick to death of hearing people say “this has to be a line in the sand” when the corporation yet again revulses the nation by pushing its own offensive political agenda.
It still hasn’t faced any consequences for airing a Hamas-friendly documentary that centred on a young boy’s version of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. Trouble was the BBC failed to mention the boy was paid and is the son of a Hamas Government minister.
Even now BBC employees are still whining about the documentary being pulled because they missed the chance to push their pro-Palestinian agenda.
This has to stop but the fact no-one does anything to stop it is the reason the BBC keeps stepping over the line because it knows there are no consequences. It still gets gifted boat loads of our money no matter how gross it is.
Starmer said today: “There’s no excuse for this kind of appalling hate speech.”
So why isn’t Bobby Vylan, who led the Glastonbury death chant morons – most of whom don’t give a stuff about the Gazan people – already in a jail cell? Why hasn’t he been charged with incitement to kill? Why hasn’t his bony ass already been dragged into a courtroom?
I suspect it’s because Avon and Somerset police who took 48 hours to “review the evidence” (what’s to review – the evidence was in front of their eyes) because they’re terrified of the backlash they know arresting Vylan will cause.
And if Starmer thinks what this punk did was unacceptable why hasn’t he personally ordered his arrest the way he did with the Southport rioters?
But more importantly why hasn’t Tim Davie already been sacked? This is the man who just last week sent an e mail to all BBC staff announcing new guidelines that prevent the corporation screening hate speech. Did he forget about that?
Why isn’t Lorna Clarke, the BBC’s head of music and on £250,000 a year, out of her backside – presumably she too was there enjoying the free hospitality doing sod-all.
Why aren’t some of the 500 BBC staff who were at the festival out on their backsides? Because all of them could have pulled that disgusting feed at the weekend – yet none of them did. Are we to assume that’s because they thought there was nothing wrong with Vylan’s death chants and that they agreed with his incitement to kill Jews?
If they had a brain cell between them, they’d have had a plan in place in case things went bad. They all knew that the braindead Vylan had form for spouting inflammatory tosh and because he was the warm-up act for the boneheads in the band Kneecap, one of whom is up on terrorism charges (which we have to say he denies), someone should have anticipated there might be trouble.
But then maybe they don’t think that calling for the death of Jews constitutes trouble? Maybe it’s what they all believe because nothing we’ve heard from the BBC since the weekend suggest otherwise.
What’s clear is that the BBC no longer represents British values or a majority of British people. In fact, from what we’ve seen this year it appears to be institutionally anti-Semitic and therefore has forfeited the right to be our state broadcaster.
We can’t keep saying “the BBC is bad”, “the BBC should be defunded,” “the BBC has hit a new low”. Because while all of those things are true – it’s still being allowed to do its dirty, disgusting work with zero consequences.
If he has the decency to go Tim Davie should first apologise to the Jewish community here. And he shouldn’t do it in order to save his job, he should do it to show British Jews that maybe somewhere deep inside he understands their fear, their disgust, their shock that thanks in large part to the corporation over which he presides, they no longer feel safe here in Britain.
But I’m not holding my breath because he’s a coward and it’s thanks to him and his weakness that the BBC has become a friend and supporter of terrorists.
